The Directors of Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), one of Africa's biggest film awards, have finalized plans to return to Bayelsa, which has hosted the event from the start except for 2012 when it was held in Lagos.
We firmly gathered that the event will hold in Yenagoa, Bayelsa, on April 20, 2013.
Before now, we were informed that the state governor, Serieke Dickson, is prepared to host African filmmakers in his state during the awards period.
AMAA is one of the most sought-after awards in Africa. Last year, the event surprisingly held in Lagos.
No reason was ascertained for the return of AMAA to Bayelsa State, which has been the traditional host of the event.
