Gunmen attack Court-Bound Convoy In Warri Killing Five

On Wednesday Morning in Warri, Delta State, gunmen ambushed court-bound convoy, killing five persons.

Tragedy struck around 9am at Okene roundabout in Warri. The vehicles were allegedly bearing some prison inmates to court when some men opened fire at them.

Four prison warders were supposedly killed in the attack while a prison inmate was also shot dead by the gunmen.

Meanwhile, three prison inmates reportedly escaped with the attackers after the incident.

 However, they were later re-arrested by the police who handed them over to the prison authorities in Warri.
