Versatile actress, Blessing Effiom
Egbe, married to Michael Egbe is heavily pregnant, with baby number three, her union
has been blessed with two lovely daughters Michelle
and Danielle. The Script Writer from
City Varsity College, Cape Town, South Africa took a bold step to pause her
career pursuit in acting, and focus on her home by becoming a full-house wife
for a while to give birth to her two daughters.
She stepped out with her
hubby days back at an MNET event with the obvious sign of pregnancy- a protruding
tummy.
Blessing has written and produced 6 movies, featured in her own films which includes;
Before the Vow, After the Vow, African Queen, Working the Lane, The Rivals,
Survivors, also TV series, Disclosures, Lekki Wives and Two Brides and A Baby.
Some of her works has won her awards like;
Best International Drama for The Rivals at the New York International
Independent Film and Video Festival in 2007, City People’s 2011 Scriptwriter of
the Year, 2011 BON Awards for Best Screenplay, Best New Actress, Best Director,
Achievement in Sound and Movie of the Year for Two Brides and A Baby.
In 2012, Blessing’s movie, Two Brides and A Baby also received two Africa Movie Academy Award nominations for Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor. Blessing is nominated in the AMVCA category for Best Writer (Drama).
